I’m trying to catch up on the four weeks I was behind in posting and I actually think I might be able to get up to date!! Sorry for the photo blog overload but you should be celebrating with my tick the list type personality with the satisfaction this brings, to finally, hopefully get up to date!First time on a flying fox in Uganda! It’s amazing what pleasure simple things like this now bring!No-one knew about the tyre full of rain water at the other end – surprise!!!Lily has no memory of them in NZ, so she only knows it as a zipline as her American friends call it. I gave up trying to explain why we call it a flying fox when I realised I had no idea why we call it a flying fox!
This is how Lily’s been sleeping for the last few weeks, or maybe a month when I think about it. Actually, maybe two months. In her ‘hammock’. Just tie the corners of a sheet to the base of the top bunk and you’re ready to go! Animals optional.
Enlisting the help of an older sister to teach multiplication. Charlotte’s a great teacher!
Going over book work as Damalie prepares to open her restaurant ‘Miracle Family Refreshment Centre’ based in a fishing village. Basic? Yes. Effective? Absolutely. It’s providing a way for her family to work their way out of economic poverty as well as put savings aside each day.
This is how you finish off the job when the power goes out halfway through a shave!
Still more x-rays and specialist visits! Never had so much trouble with a cast – hopefully sorted now!
Charlotte and Lily have loved having this sweet baby girl to entertain every week for the last few months while her mum teaches music.Make your own pizza and movie night for the teens!
