A little wallow & Gods 9 year old remedy

We had an open home yesterday which I’d spent most of Saturday getting ready for. No-one turned up – except for the agent! It shouldn’t have got to me cos it’s really no big deal (we get to enjoy a super tidy house for 5 minutes!) I knew I should be telling my heart to line up with Gods truth …but I had a little wallow in the fact that it’s now been 4 months of getting the house spotless for people to come and say they don’t want to buy it, or to not even come when I go to the effort of tidying it! We know it’ll sell in Gods timing, but we’ve still been doing what we can to try and get it sold…… have been weighing up whether to change agencies, or whether we need to drop the price – again  :(

Anyway, in the midst of my little wallow, Jed comes up to me and says he wants to read the bible to me. His favourite book is the old Good News Bible Pete had when he was a kid which he gave to Jed – it’s a special treasure and Jed just loves it! Now, thinking I was being clever, I thought it’d be fun to give Jed a verse about children obeying their parents (couldn’t hurt him!) So I told him to look up Proverbs 3v6 thinking it was Ephesians 6v1. This is what he came out with:
“Remember the Lord in everything you do and he will show you the right way”.

T.O.T.A.L.L.Y what I needed to hear! Snapped out of my wallow straight away and thanked my sweet boy! He didn't need to read Ephesians 6:1, he was already obeying his heavenly father who asked him to speak his word to his mother!

Hey Ruth, I'm doing well. Juggling lots of balls at the moment tho! About to start my nursing refresher course end of next week, so trying to get too many things done before then :)
I'm hoping to get my blog updated before then too, but we'll see how I go!
On the house front, we're going to try our hand at selling it privately for a month or so. We're offering $2000 to anyone who can find us a private buyer - so if you know anyone up this way looking for a house... :)
Been thinking of you lots too - would be SO good to have a catch up, loved getting to see you when we were in Q/town, much easier to picture you living down there now!
Love Danielle
