Happy Birthday Jed!!

Jed literally shot into the world, and 9 years on he’s still fast paced and action packed! For his birthday yesterday his request was to go to Orewa for the day and visit his Great Nan who he shares a birthday with. So we piled into the van, picked Gran up who had the day off work and headed to Auckland.

birthday twins - 9 and 90!

We’d been trying to get rid of colds all week, so we didn’t pass anything onto Nan. All went well for the first hour or so......

then Riana suddenly started feeling sick and within ½ hour was vomiting! So no pic of her!

…..About 20 minutes into our 3 hour journey home Jed announced his tummy was getting sore – giving me only about 5 seconds (no way near long enough!) to find something for him to empty his stomach into. Was too late and he wore it! Might get a nice photo in the mail of the event as we got flashed by a speed camera on the motorway just as my backside was hanging over the seat trying to clean him up and telling Pete to “hurry up so we can get off the motorway!” Thanks Gran for giving Jed PJs for his birthday – at least we had something to change him into! Before we managed to get off the motorway Charlotte announced her tummy was sore! No way!! Thankfully she held on till we were about 15 minutes from home and shared her dinner with us as we were being pulled over for breath testing!

In the words of the birthday boy “I am cool and I liked my birthday!” Yes, you are cool Jed Gordon, even when you’re covered with thick sticky vomit, you’re very cool my boy – I love you round the world and back

...and you have enormously huge muscles!
