My heart yearns with unspeakable utterings
An aching so deep, like my very being has been pierced
Words unable to form, yet an intense knowing
That my breaking heart is not mine alone
Long before my heart broke
His was,
Long before I saw the need
He saw,
Long before I said “send me”
He said “who will go?”
An inner peace that’s beyond my doing
A sense of urgency, yet a sense of Gods perfect timing
Knowing that He is at work
Refining, shaping, preparing
Struggling with the comfort I dwell in
Battling the one who would have me give up the battle
Weighing up what I’ll be giving up
Working through what to take and what to leave
Clinging to the truth of Gods word
Trusting that God will supply all my need
Feelings of inadequacy and fear of the unknown
Yet knowing I will not find an escape route in weakness
In my weakness His name will be made great
Anticipating the adventure
Experiencing joy in the journey
Surrendering to His will, not mine
Realizing that when you pray “God break my heart for what breaks yours,
that’s exactly what He’ll do”.

This is beautifully written, Danielle!!!
I think you should consider writing this on the back of your fundraising paper/flyer - very touching!
Let me know if/how I can help get something written up :)
love you - kindred spirit,
Isabel
Thanks Isabel - I you don't know how much your encouragement and support means to us :) To have someone journey with us who has walked the road before us is such a huge blessing!
Love you too,
Danielle
My husband and I have been praying a lot for the past few months because we believe God is leading us to Uganda as well. We are at the very beginning of our road and have gotten a lot of negative feed back so today my prayer was that God would give me some type of tangible evidence that we are not "CRAZY"! I saw your post on sixtyfeet.org and immediately knew that God had allowed me to see that to remind me that we are not alone in all this! It is amazing to see a family that is farther down the road than us taking necessary steps to prepare for the adventure! We will most definitely be praying for you and your family as you embark on your journey and I sincerely hope that if the Lord provides a way one day, that we may meet in Uganda! Many blessings to you and your family!
So beautifully written...and very familiar. Looking forward to meeting you in Uganda.
