kicking back at Mangamate Falls

Seems like ages ago, but we've only been home 10 days (10 mainly wet days!). We found the most gorgeous D.O.C campsite on the way to Lake Waikaremoana in the middle of nowhere. No shops nearby, no cellphone coverage, no running water, no showers, - just us, nature, a few neighbours and really disgusting longdrops! It was great!! Washing clothes in the river, roasting marshmellows, late night stories and milos, sunburn, playing with friends (who joined us for 3 days) , reading books, riding bikes through the bush, fishing (unsucessfully), hot breakfasts, playing in the river, lazy days............. ending with singing happy birthday to Drew in the rain before packing up & going home a day early. I'll post pics when I work out how to get them off the CD!
