An African (oh my) Gosh (it just flew into my house) Hawk!

While sitting down trying to work out what to have for dinner tonight, an African Gosh Hawk came swooping into our lounge, dropping it's innocent prey in one room of the house while continuing on to explore the rest. Awesome! Dinner sorted so soon! 

Drew went into action cornering, capturing, assessing and ........... releasing it. We decided against eating it and went for a bird free option instead.

I wouldn't have even thought to put gloves on, just as well he did... he had some mean talons on him and a very scary beak (the gosh hawk, not Drew - just thought I'd better make that clear!)

I think this shot was him saying "thankyou so much for catching me, I really appreciate your kindness"

"Awwww, you're not going to let me go already, I was just beginning to get to know you"
