Painting with Angelo

While in Jinja a few weeks back we called into one of our favourite shops where you can buy art and  tee-shirts painted by a local Ugandan artist named Angelo. He’s really good and having a few ‘arty’ people in our family everyone wants to go visit when we’re in town. We walked in to the shop and before I was even inside he’d  whisked the kids out the back and covered Rianas hand in paint! He’d been asked to do a tee-shirt for someone with handprints of all different sizes and our family had visited at just the right time! The kids enjoyed getting to use paint again - and Riana even got to screenprint her own tee-shirt!
Seriously, half my kids would live here if they had the chance...

see that pic in the background - love the blend of those colours! Love that boy in the front too - just the right blend of dirt, noise and mischief!

Riana doing her top

should've got a better pic of her holding it up, it's pretty cool! and see his jeans? they were pretty cool too - he gives them away & offered them to us - almost considered it but 1) wasn't quite sure what I'd do with them, and 2) didn't really want to make him go the rest of the day in his undies!
