Day one: Charlottes birthday
Piling onto mum and dads bed to open presents, icecream breakfast, a spot of shopping – abandoned due to a sick little Lily spewing all over daddy and herself. A second attempt at lunch out – successful! Cake baked and covered with not so fresh cream by the light of a lantern, singing happy birthday and blowing out eight girly pink candles. Eating delicious homemade Banoffe Pie (thankyou SO much Drew!) and cake for a late candlelight dinner. Movie night traded for spotlight in the lounge due to no power. Squeals of laughter trying to sneak up on each other without being seen. BedDay two: Rianas birthday
Piling onto mum and dads bed to open presents, icecream breakfast rescheduled as no icecream available til the afternoon. Children lying on couches watching movies with croaky voices, coughs, fevers and headaches. Trip to Ugandas only bowling alley – points determined by mixture of pins knocked down and faulty machines! Icecreams on way home. Sleeps on the couch (for those still not feeling well) before dinner out with almost impeccably mannered kids (yes, miracles do happen!). Bed
...so blessed with awesome awesome girls, and even more blessed to have two out of three either born on my birthday or the day after. Looking forward to girly birthday weekends away together when they’re older!
