Why do they throw out such good stuff?!
On our arrival to Uganda, as we were driving to Kampala, the kids were all half sleeping, half taking in the new sights. Jed had been intently studying the sides of the road when he came out with "Mum, why do the Ugandans throw away such good stuff?" "Well my boy, these are the shops!"
This is where the furniture stays 24/7 until it's sold. Shop owners run for tarpaulins when it rains in a feeble attempt to protect from the rain and mud. We've bought several items while driving by - just one of the things we love about this place!
