I love my boys! They each have a unique creativity that either keeps me laughing, cringing, or holding my breath. This afternoon they had a few neighbourhood friends over to make firecrackers! They emptied all the 'gunpowder' out of our used fireworks and created new ones with toilet rolls, masking tape, string for wicks, & old parachute toys taped to the side. I didn't tell them the gunpowder was clay! They carefully crafted each one - making labels and all! They're looking forward to lighting them.
Since making a bike track around the pond a few months ago, the boys have been adding new jumps and have spent countless hours riding them in. Jed likes to ride round with his superhero suit on - black cape flying behind him in the wind. Whenever one of the boys starts the motorbike up, the neighbourhood boys turn up with their motorbikes and pushbikes and they happily spend a whole morning or afternoon riding. We've ben paying the kids $1 a wheelbarrow load of dirt they dig from an area we want excavated, and they can use the dirt for their jumps - win, win situation!! News has spread and the boys have lots of helpers now keen to earn a buck! (pic shows boys in action!) Might not take too long to get my sunken BBQ area after all!
